Can history be fun?
So often history is boiled down to battles and dates: facts that need to be memorized for a test. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Let us help you love history
For 10 years we’ve brought approachable, fascinating history to tens of thousands of classrooms, co-ops, and families around the world!
How did we get our start?
A serial entrepreneur with a background in living history, Elizabeth Hauris created History Unboxed in 2014. Six months later, creative director Stephanie Hanson joined, bringing her experience as a public school teacher. The rest is history!
What makes our products unique?
We focus on relatable, memorable lessons with multisensory components. Active engagement brings the past to life!
Why do we love what we do?
The overwhelming gratitude of students and teachers who have fallen back in love with history through our products makes every minute worth it!
CREATIVITY THROUGH HISTORY – Cultivate kids’ imagination and inspire their creativity. Let kids color a Phoenician trading vessel with this history activity kit that includes a detailed art coloring sheet and history comic featuring the ancient Phoenicians.
IGNITES CHILD’S CURIOSITY – Capture children’s interest as they learn about the world through exploration and discovery. A papyrus-making kit is included in this history discovery box. Make the people of the past more relatable by crafting papyrus paper, just like the ancient Phoenicians.
HANDS-ON HISTORY ACTIVITY – Let children connect with the people of the past with these hands-on, multisensory history arts & craft learning activities kits. Let them dye cloth deep purple, just like the ancient Phonecians. Then explore why purple was the color of royalty and hold a real murex snail shell. Getting their hands on real objects related to the past is a great way to keep children engaged and more focused on their learning journey.
